Damage, Defect & Claim Reporting

If an appliance arrives with visible damage, has a missing component, develops an operational problem, or is involved in an alleged property-damage or bodily-injury incident, contact Dan's Appliance promptly. Dan's will review the information and provide reasonable assistance with the applicable manufacturer, distributor, carrier, warranty administrator, or insurer.

1. Visible or Cosmetic Delivery Damage

  • Visible or cosmetic delivery damage should be reported within 48 hours so available manufacturer, distributor, carrier, or insurance remedies can be preserved.
  • This reporting period concerns visible delivery damage. It does not replace or eliminate a valid manufacturer warranty.
  • Customers should provide clear photographs, the model and serial number, the delivery date, and a description of the issue.
  • Inspect the appliance on delivery day. When visible damage is found, note it on the delivery paperwork before acknowledging receipt whenever practical.

2. Manufacturer Defects and Operational Problems

  • Operational problems and manufacturer defects are governed by the applicable written manufacturer warranty.
  • Some warranty matters require the customer to communicate directly with the manufacturer or warranty administrator.
  • Contact Dan's Appliance promptly when assistance is needed. Dan's will review the information and provide reasonable assistance with the applicable manufacturer, distributor, or warranty administrator.

3. Property Damage or Bodily Injury

  • Alleged property damage or bodily injury arising from delivery, installation, removal, or service work must be reported promptly.
  • Dan's Appliance may require a written claim form, photographs, videos, repair estimates, receipts, professional reports, witness information, and other relevant documentation.
  • Submission or acceptance of a claim form is not an admission of fault, liability, coverage, or responsibility.
  • Customers should preserve the allegedly damaged property and related materials for inspection unless emergency conditions require immediate action.

4. Claim Assistance

  • When permitted by the applicable manufacturer, distributor, carrier, insurer, or warranty administrator, Dan's Appliance will assist with or submit a claim on the customer's behalf.
  • Dan's Appliance cannot control another company's approval decision, scheduling, parts availability, processing time, replacement decision, or final resolution.

Prompt notice helps preserve evidence and available claim options. Contact Dan's Appliance as soon as an issue is discovered. Provide your model number, serial number, purchase date, and photographs when available.
