How Updates Work
We will contact you when we receive a meaningful update from the manufacturer or distributor. Dan's Appliance is usually notified only when the item is actually preparing to ship or arrive — often roughly 24 hours in advance.
Timing Is Out of Our Hands
Manufacturers do not work for Dan's Appliance, report to Dan's Appliance, or guarantee exact arrival dates to us. Any estimated date is only an estimate — it can move forward, move backward, or change without advance notice.
Repeated Calls Don't Speed Things Up
Repeated calls or showroom visits do not make a manufacturer ship faster and generally do not produce new information. Employees cannot provide information we have not received.
Customer Expectations
- Please be patient, reasonable, and respectful with staff while waiting for a backordered product.
- Abusive, threatening, or disruptive conduct toward employees will not be accepted.
- Customers may ask about available substitutions, cancellation options, or continuing to wait.
The Bottom Line
Dan's Appliance wants every customer to receive their product as quickly as possible. However, backordered merchandise is controlled by manufacturer and distributor supply, not by our store. We will update customers when real information is available.
